WAB-COURSE
Advanced training for new-drivers
You have passed the practical driving test and received your probationary driving licence. Further training, also known as 2-phase training, must be completed during the probationary period and within the first year after the driving test.
Since 1 January 2020, the advanced training course (WAB course) has only lasted one day and must be completed within twelve months of passing the driving test. The WAB course lasts seven hours and includes practical exercises and experiencing driving situations under realistic conditions.

Contents
The aim of the course is to help you better assess your own driving behaviour, avoid dangerous situations and help protect the environment by driving economically.
- Modul: Safe braking module
In this part of the course, theoretical and practical exercises are used to demonstrate the behaviour of the car during emergency braking:
- at different speeds
- on dry and wet roads
- in the bend
- and other influences on the stopping distance - Modul: Clever driving" module - EcoDrive
This part of the course demonstrates strategies for energy-saving driving:
- anticipatory driving
- Modern and supporting systems
- EcoDrive starts with the choice of vehicle
In the practical part, vehicles with different drive concepts are used:
- E-vehicle with electric motor and battery
- Hybrid vehicle with electric motor and petrol engine
- Vehicle with gas engine
- Vehicle with diesel engine
Rental car
If you do not have your own car, you can hire a car (automatic transmission) from us for the day of the course. Costs CHF 70.-
Duration
The WAB course lasts a total of 7 hours.
- 09:00 - 17:00 including lunch break
Requirement
- Valid, unexpired driving licence
- Vehicle in safe operating condition (each participant needs a vehicle).
Language skills
- German language skills required.
- Courses in English can also be booked by prior arrangement.

- Economically from CHF 290.- (without meals) including course materials

- Optional: hire vehicle (automatic) CHF 70 per day
